State Rep. Celia Israel: As a native of El Paso, mass shooting 'dealt a blow'

On Aug. 3, 22 people were killed and many more were injured by a young man in an El Paso Walmart because it seems he believed we are “invaders." It is unbelievable to me that I am typing up this string of words. My God, we were attacked by one of our own — again.Words matter. Homegrown terrorists have dealt a blow to the city and the state that I love, and those who fan the flames of intolerance and bigotry must accept blame for their roles in this senseless and racist attack.
